My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

The sermon’s title is taken from God speaking to Paul in 2 Cor 12:8, saying:

‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’

Focusing on our feeling of weakness when faced with difficult situations or difficult callings in our lives, this sermon invites us to allow God and his grace to bring strength out of our weakness. Using the calling and visions which God gave to Ezekiel (Ezekiel 1:1; 2:1-5), to Paul (2 Cor2:2-10) and to a young woman named Nancy, we are reminded that weakness is a normal part of our lives as humans and as Christians. But with God at work within us, these weaknesses or ‘thorns in the flesh’ can be turned into strength.
